What Are Wire Forms?
Wire forms are custom-shaped wire components made by bending, forming, cutting, or shaping metal wire into specific 2D or 3D structures. Unlike standard springs, wire forms are designed mainly for positioning, fastening, supporting, locking, hanging, guiding, or connecting parts in an assembly.
They are commonly used as clips, hooks, brackets, pins, handles, retaining wires, and custom hardware components for electronics, luggage hardware, mobility products, appliances, and industrial assemblies. Shapes, angles, end forms, and dimensions can be customized according to drawings, samples, or application requirements.
Material Selection for Wire Forms
Material selection depends on strength requirements, bending performance, corrosion resistance, working environment, surface finish, and cost considerations. Common materials include stainless steel, carbon steel, music wire, spring steel, galvanized wire, copper wire, and other wire materials.
For outdoor, humid, or corrosion-sensitive applications, stainless steel or suitable surface treatment may be recommended. For parts requiring repeated movement, elastic recovery, or higher strength, spring steel or music wire may be considered based on the function of the wire form.


Machine Setup & Production
