What Are Wire Forms?

  Wire forms are custom-shaped wire components made by bending, forming, cutting, or shaping metal wire into specific 2D or 3D structures. Unlike standard springs, wire forms are designed mainly for positioning, fastening, supporting, locking, hanging, guiding, or connecting parts in an assembly.

  They are commonly used as clips, hooks, brackets, pins, handles, retaining wires, and custom hardware components for electronics, luggage hardware, mobility products, appliances, and industrial assemblies. Shapes, angles, end forms, and dimensions can be customized according to drawings, samples, or application requirements.

Material Selection for Wire Forms

  Material selection depends on strength requirements, bending performance, corrosion resistance, working environment, surface finish, and cost considerations. Common materials include stainless steel, carbon steel, music wire, spring steel, galvanized wire, copper wire, and other wire materials.

  For outdoor, humid, or corrosion-sensitive applications, stainless steel or suitable surface treatment may be recommended. For parts requiring repeated movement, elastic recovery, or higher strength, spring steel or music wire may be considered based on the function of the wire form.

Machine Setup & Production

  After the drawing, sample, or technical specification is confirmed, our technicians set up the forming equipment according to wire diameter, bending angles, forming sequence, end shape, overall dimensions, and assembly requirements.

  During production, machine settings are adjusted to maintain stable bending accuracy, consistent shape, and reliable fit. For custom wire forms, experienced setup is important because small changes in angle, length, or end position can affect assembly performance and product function.

Quality Inspection & Packing

  Finished wire forms are inspected for key dimensions, bending angles, end shapes, surface condition, and batch consistency. For functional parts, sample approval can be arranged before mass production to confirm fit, installation, strength, and assembly performance.

  After inspection, products are packed according to export and delivery requirements. Proper packing helps protect product shape, surface finish, and dimensional stability during storage and transportation.
